Journey of Love
It was the beginning of his final year as an Engineering student, when Abdul-Malik noticed an unfamiliar face; a cute, petit, attractive young girl going about her registration activities. He enquired about her and was told her name (Sadeeyah) and that she was a younger sister to Faridah, a relatively popular student who was also in her final year at the time.
There and then, he knew he wanted to get to know this lovely young girl, as her charisma was unrivalled and seemed like a very interesting person to know. Abdul-Malik decided to approah her on a later date as she was in the midst of her friends. But the tedious and rigorous course-work of that semester proved very challenging and time-consuming for him that he barely had time for leisure-strolls, so it became highly unlikely for him to bump into her as they studied in two different faculties. Towards the end of the semester, Abdul-Malik was lucky to set his eyes on her twice or thrice but in very cheesy scenarios that wasn't convenient for him to approah her. That was how the semester ended and they never spoke. In a twist of events, Sadeeyah didn't resume the following semester as she got another admission in her home town, Kaduna. Abdul thought that was the end of it, his chances of befriending her had slipped and went on with his normal life. It was not until two years later after he had completed his youth service, that he set his eyes on her again. It was at a wedding event, a picnic. His friend was getting married, but unknown to him, the groom's younger sister is one of her closest friends. When he saw her, she was seated with the groom's sister and another female friend whom Abdul knew very well. He approached them and initiated a chat with this mutual friend, who in turn introduced him to Sadeeyah and the groom's sister. He exchanged pleasantries with them and cracked a few jokes, paying more attention to Sadeeyah. That was how it all started! The million dollar introduction! They soon became friends on social media and started chatting regularly. They later exchanged blackberry pins and chatted even more regularly. But at first, it didn't seem like anything could happen between them as they both had 'significant-others'. They met occasionally as friends, were so fond of each other and felt free to discuss each others' relationship woes. They remained friends for over a year only to discover that it's not really working out with their 'significant-others'. She even introduced him to one of her friends; another failed attempt. It didn't work out. Lo and behold! The love they had been searching for was right in front of them. They realized that their chemistry was unparalleled and their insatiable desire for each others company grew stronger by the day. It didn't take a rocket scientist for them to realize they were meant for each other. They decided to stop deceiving themselves and give it a shot. This happened in December of 2013. After four to five months of dating, their love grew stronger, they became so sure that they were meant for each other and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.
Alhamdulillah! They are tieing the knot on the 3rd of January 2015. A match made in heaven!!!
